Duncan Craig LLP joins the Justicia Project

Jun 18, 2015

Duncan Craig LLP is pleased to announce our participation in the Law Society of Alberta’s Justicia Project. The Project is a voluntary program aimed at retaining women lawyers and welcoming diversity into the private practice of law. Roughly 50% of lawyers graduating from law schools across the country are women. Once they enter private practice, large numbers do not stay. They either leave the practice of law entirely or find new positions working for corporations or the government. The Justicia Project is committed to bringing law firms together with a collective goal to retain women in the private practice of law by developing and implementing polices to enhance diversity. Led by our newly appointed Diversity Officer, firm partner Diane Talarico, Duncan Craig is excited to be a participant in this Project. We look forward to helping advance the understanding of issues affecting women and with the development of best practices and programming.
