Glenn McLean has just been appointed to the Municipal Governance Committee of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) for 2015-2016. This committee reviews matters pertaining to fundamental roles and responsibilities of municipalities including related legislation and regulations; assessment and taxation; inter-municipal relations (dissolution, amalgamation and partnerships); provincial/municipal revenue sharing and cost-sharing; municipal viability; citizen participation; and aboriginal relations. AUMA member municipalities represent approximately 85% of Alberta’s population.
