Roscoe Gee
Roscoe Gee is an associate lawyer in our Estate Solutions practice group, where he practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Estate Litigation.
Roscoe earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and worked in digital marketing before pursuing law. He returned to the University of Alberta to earn his Juris Doctor, during which time he joined the firm as a summer student after his first year. Following his graduation in 2024, Roscoe returned to the firm to complete his articles and is now an associate in the Estate Solutions practice group.
During law school, he was deeply engaged in both academic and community initiatives. As President of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers UAlberta, Roscoe demonstrated strong leadership in advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives. He also volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Clinic and Student Legal Services, contributing to the Civil, Family, Criminal, and Wills Projects. In addition, he served as a Writing Fellow for the Legal Research and Writing Program. Roscoe’s achievements include receiving the Right Honourable Beverly McLachlin Moot Award, the Catherine Miller Community Service Award, and the Opportunities in Law Scholarship.
In Roscoe's Own Words:
"Through my experience in equity-focused initiatives and volunteer work with community legal clinics, I saw how thoughtful legal advice can bring clarity, peace of mind, and dignity to people when it is needed most. Estate law, in particular, allows me to help people plan with intention and navigate difficult transitions with confidence, which ultimately drew me to this area of practice and this firm. By specializing in both Estate Planning and Estate Litigation, I hope to strengthen my effectiveness and perspective in each area."
Outside of his legal practice, Roscoe enjoys discovering cuisine in foreign countries and exploring the trails of Waterton National Park—while carefully steering clear of bears.
