Hamza Mandour

Hamza is an associate in Duncan Craig’s Litigation group, practicing in the areas of construction and commercial litigation. His work includes preparing contracts as part of the construction tendering process, builders’ liens, deficiency and delay litigation, shareholder disputes, commercial tenancy disputes, commercial collections, and debt recovery.

He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta, where he was actively involved in several notable groups. Hamza served as VP Finance for the Law Students’ Association, sat as a Tribune on the Discipline, Interpretation, and Enforcement Board for the Students’ Union, and volunteered with Student Legal Services as well as the Muslim Law Students’ Association. He also played on the Golden Bearristers Rugby Team.

Before beginning his legal career, Hamza graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Economics and Law, with a Minor in Finance (With Distinction), from the University of Alberta. During this time he was actively involved in the community, volunteering as a supervisor with the Junior Achievement program, serving as VP Finance for the Alzheimer's Student Association, and working with the CHATTER program to facilitate out-of-classroom learning environments for children with autism and other social-communication delays.

In his free time, Hamza enjoys weightlifting, backpacking, and anything automotive—whether it’s working on cars or attending shows.

"Litigation can be messy and people come to us when they are in a spot they would much rather not be in. My goal is to help our clients navigate the process in a way that is as least stressful as possible by educating them on the process and being clear on expectations from the outset".
