In Brian's Own Words:
"In my view clients are looking for lawyers who know the law, are trustworthy practical, result oriented, reliable, and dependable. I also want the client to feel that I care about their legal issue, that I can be trusted by them, other lawyers, and the courts. Also, I consider clients as an equal because they are as adept at their job as I am as a lawyer, but they have consulted me because of a unique issue and my ability to provide legal advice that is prompt, thorough and which can be trusted. They will always receive balanced and objective advice regarding the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities created by the case. My typical advice includes the assessment of principles, practicality, risk, and costs of their legal issue. One of the great benefits of practicing law as long as I have is the development of relationships and friendships in which the clients see me as their trusted adviser and friend. It is rewarding to be viewed as reliable and dependable."
Brian was a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law and was a regular instructor in the CPLED program. He has also presented papers to clients on legislative issues and changes to the law. Brian was a community league soccer coordinator and coach from 1998 to 2007 and a Coach for the Edmonton Drillers Minor Soccer Club 2005 to 2006.
